Christmas Eve Snowstorm Top Weather Event of 2009

While stranded in Munday, Texas over Christmas, I jokingly posted on facebook, "So, will this be known as the 'Blizzard of '09'?" It turned out to be prophetic because on the trip home, my wife and I heard on the radio the newsperson refer to the storm as the "Blizzard of '09."

Well, the National Weather Service for San Angelo has named the Christmas Eve snowstorm the top weather event for the Big Country in 2009.
